About Us

Newton Musical was established in 1978 and is based in Jacksonville, Florida. Glynda and Cliff Newton have created a company that cares about providing the right entertainment for your event. We know that for the event to be successful, high quality and reliability are important. Newton Musical makes an extra effort to make your event memorable.

Newton Musical is associated with the Local 444, American Federation of Musicians. The members of the various ensembles we provide are members of the AFM. We feel that our AFM affiliation indicates that we view music-making as a honored profession. Newton Musical is proud of our record for reliability and excellence.

We are members of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. Glynda is a violinist and Cliff is principal trumpet. For people who love classical music, it is the perfect job. It still amazes us that the pace of our lives is so busy, and yet so very exciting! It has allowed us to meet and perform with the greatest musicians of our day, and we get paid to do it!
